As a lad growing up in San Diego, young Johnny fell asleep at night holding tight to his dream of attending The Julliard School.  Upon high school graduation (those online diplomas are really handy), the teen Mr. Keys submitted his application and waited for weeks by the mailbox.

When the envelope arrived from Julliard, Johnny could hardly contain his enthusiasm, but when he opened the correspondence, his excitement turned to confusion and dismay.  It seemed that just one week before his application was submitted, the school had passed an anti-“bad hair” policy - and so a crestfallen Johnny Keys was cast adrift. 

But as fate would have it, Johnny would soon be heavily recruited by several top-notch music schools, with the Liberace School of Performing Arts winning out in the end.  The rest, as they say, is history…. Johnny Keys has been adding phenomenal keyboard textures to top bands across the southland ever since.
